Review highlights
Based on 490 reviewsNew 5050 CAFE is well-regarded for its authentic local cuisine, particularly its Sarawak laksa and char kueh tiaw, which evoke a sense of nostalgia and long-standing culinary tradition. Operating for over two decades, the café attracts both regulars and newcomers seeking comfort food with a homemade feel. The menu offers variety, including vegetarian options that receive positive remarks for flavor and quality. Despite a cozy setting with limited seating, the café maintains a warm and welcoming atmosphere, though it tends to be quite busy, especially on weekends. Its reasonable pricing and steady service contribute to its appeal. Some patrons note the café's recent relocation within the same commercial area, which has not diminished its popularity. Overall, New 5050 CAFE is recognized as a beloved local spot that balances tradition, taste, and a friendly environment effectively.
